Dr. Kim Westerich-Fellner
Postdoctoral Researcher
Dr. Kim Joana Westerich-Fellner is a postdoctoral researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Her work focuses on nuclear disarmament verification.
Before joining VeSPoTec, Westerich-Fellner served as a Mercator Fellow on International Affairs. In this role, she worked at the European Council on Foreign Relations, the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in the United States, and Forschungszentrum Jülich, focusing on nuclear disarmament, verification, and conventional arms control. She is a member of the New European Voices on Existential Risk initiative of the European Leadership Network.
Westerich-Fellner holds a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Münster (summa cum laude). She conducted research stays at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, the University of Cambridge, and the Max Planck Institute.
