Julian Schäfer is a research associate at the Human Technology Center (HumTec) at RWTH Aachen University. In VeSPoTec, he focuses on the role of knowledge, non-knowledge and knowledge strategies in verification and arms control regimes from a social science perspective.
He studied Cultural Studies (B.A.) at Maastricht University and the University of Oslo and Governance of Technology and Innovation (M.A.) at RWTH Aachen University. His focus is on the sociology of knowledge and STS. During his studies, Mr. Schäfer worked at the Chair of Society and Technology at RWTH Aachen University and gained experience at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI.
