Emerging Voices on Nuclear Verification
A Blog Series Showcasing Early-Career Perspectives
Are you a young researcher working on nuclear verification, disarmament, or related fields? Do you want to share your insights, research questions, or experiences with a broader audience of scientists, policymakers, and practitioners?
We invite you to contribute to our blog series “Emerging Voices on Nuclear Verification,” aimed at amplifying interdisciplinary, and regional perspectives on nuclear verification.
What are we looking for?
Length: 300–500 words
Audience: International, interdisciplinary, engaged in peace and conflict studies, interested in nuclear verification
Focus: Your piece should reflect your research question, disciplinary lens, or regional experience, ideally framed in a way that contributes to wider debates in the field.
You are welcome to explore questions like:
- How do current geopolitical shifts and crises affect verification regimes and institutions?
- What makes verification mechanisms credible and trustworthy across different technical and social contexts?
- How do uncertainties and knowledge gaps shape compliance assessments?
- What role do power dynamics, regional perspectives, or historical experiences play in the success or failure of verification efforts?
- How is verification shaped by mindsets, justice narratives, or trust/mistrust environments?
- Which actors and levels of analysis matter most in today’s complex verification landscape?
- How much verification is enough for the world today?
Why contribute?
- Share your voice with a global, interdisciplinary audience
- Connect with a growing network of young scholars and experts
- Be featured on a respected platform with visibility in the academic and policy communities (The blog will be featured in an upcoming ZeFKo Special Issue on Nuclear Verification)
How to submit?
Please send your article (300-500 words) along with a short bio (2-3 sentences) and your institutional affiliation to: delavarga@humtec.rwth-aachen.de .
Deadline for first submissions: 11th July 2025
Join the conversation and amplify your voice and ideas in the global conversation on nuclear verification. We look forward to your contribution!
